This is a truly exciting time within O2 and the mid-market team. We’re recruiting because our team is growing, which is thanks to the hugely successful individuals we already have, the popularity of our products and propositions and the commitment to continue to drive grow the business.
This area of our organisation works with businesses with between 50 and 500 employees with the purpose of delivering ICT and digital solutions. The aim is to support our customers on their transformation journey, helping them to be more efficient and reduce costs.
We’re looking for driven and passionate individuals who love getting out and speaking to new customers. You’ll be home based, working in a national team and will be responsible for acquiring new business within a defined geographical territory. This isn’t one of those old fashioned flip through the Yellow Pages type sales roles, you’ll be working off leads provided to you so you’ll just need to use your strong communication skills and customer led experience to turn those leads into sales.
What experience we’d like you to have:
* Experience of working in a business development role or similar such as a sales executive
* Really good communication and negotiation skills
* The ability to build a rapport with your customers
* Excellent planning skills – you’ll need to master the art of pipelining/forecasting
* Experience of working in a targeted environment
* Strong presentation skills, or at least the confidence and tenacity to present and engage with your prospective customers once you’re familiar with our products
* Business to business experience would be fantastic, but some of our most successful sales people have come from business to consumer so don’t let that put you off
