We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Architectural Technician to be based within our Lincoln team alongside remote working. Senior Architectural Technicians are responsible for managing and delivering complex designs of multi-disciplinary projects, on our expanding portfolio of the biggest and most challenging UK projects. You will be leading and coordinating the multi-disciplined specialists to produce technically brilliant design solutions for large complex construction projects.

Within this role your responsibilities will include:

* Preparation of planning applications

* Attending regular meetings with clients, contractors and other specialists

* Producing detailed drawings for building regulations applications and tender packages

* Negotiating with contractors and other professionals

* Attending regular meetings with clients, contractors and other specialists;

* Co-ordinating the work of contractors

* Keeping within financial budgets and time deadlines

* Making site visits to check on progress and ensuring that the project is running within the agreed time frame and according to specification;

* Solving problems that might occur during building;

* Carrying out defect inspections

* Supporting and coordinating the work of junior members of the Practice.

* Able to manage a team of designers and technicians to prepare work packages for project delivery

* On-site supervision for construction sites

* Reviewing and checking for errors in others’ work

* Undertaking any other tasks within your capabilities as requested by your line manager.

Person Specification:

* Previous experience as an Architectural Technician with experience within industrial/commercial and manufacturing sectors

* Sound communication, interpersonal and organisational skills

* Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the latest building regulations and British Standards

* The ability to work from your own initiative and as part of a team

* Excellent IT skills; including Microsoft Office and CAD

* Knowledge and understanding of sustainable technologies and assessment processes

* The ability to liaise effectively and confidently with other public and private organisations

* Good time-management skills

* Ability to work with financial budgets

* Good eye for detail and design

* Ability to problem-solve, but also raise critical issues in a timely-manner to your line manager

* Knowledge of issues pertinent to architecture, design, planning and the built environment in the context of sustainability
