Part time Caretaker

SALARY: £11 per hour, rising to £12 per hour after 1 years’ service
WORKING HOURS: Term time only, 15 hours per week (4:15pm to 7:15pm Monday – Friday)
We are currently working with a Birkdale School. They provide a strong academic education through individualised teaching, which inspires all pupils to achieve their personal best. They now have a position for a Part time Caretaker to join the team on a part time basis from the 6th September 2021.
Key duties:
* Fully securing all of the Senior School’s buildings and grounds (doors, windows and gates) and setting all the intruder alarms. This is done progressively between circa 5 and 7.15pm
* Turning off of all non-essential electrical equipment
* Weekly testing of the fire alarms
* Dealing with whatever emergencies may arise, e.g. a water leak, either directly or as assisted or directed by the appropriate person, e.g. the Head Master, the Bursar or the Maintenance Supervisor
What do you need?
* Basic DIY skills
* Trustworthy and conscientious
* Methodical with a good attention to detail
* Willing to complete a DBS check if successful
