Salary : £17842 – £18562/annum

As a Kitchen Assistant at Pontville School, you’ll be in the kitchen and front of house, preparing and serving a range of tasty, nutritious food. You’ll be working at the heart of our school, serving staff, our young people and visitors. We’ll expect you to follow food hygiene rules and keep health and safety in mind. But the key is ensuring that the kitchen is maintained to a high standard and developing and maintaining positive relationships with staff, pupils and visitors.

We’re ideally looking for you to have general catering experience gained in a professional setting, but if you are a competent home cook who copes well with feeding the masses, we’d still like to hear from you. Any relevant qualifications in a relevant subject would be beneficial but not essential. However, to be part of our team, the key ingredient is having the right attitude. If you’re hard working, friendly and dependable, you could be the perfect fit.

Pontville School is a co-educational, independent specialist day and residential school, providingeducation and care for up to 140 pupils between the ages of 5 and 19 years with social communication difficulties, ASD and speech, language and communication difficulties. The school is set in fantastic grounds, allowing us to deliver a creatively designed curriculum, aimed at providing pupils with opportunities so that they can reach milestones in education and make progress with their emotional wellbeing and social development.
