THE ROLE:
The successful candidate will have a broad depth of creative design experience within the Design & Build industry. They will be client, supplier and contractor facing and will work well in an individual and team environment. They will provide a key link between the client and the our internal teams, always maintaining a smooth transition throughout the entire Design & Build process from client brief-taking through to installation and project completion.
The successful candidate will need to integrate into an established Company team, be resourceful, creative, ambitious, pro-active, reliable, and determined whilst always being supportive of the Company.
SUMMARY OF ROLE & REQUIREMENTS:
Liaising with clients and suppliers as well as the internal teams.
Producing accurate, organised, high-quality, innovative and contemporary conceptual design work.
Production of design detailing.
Taking detailed client briefs and being able to advise where necessary.
Actively participating in client, site, supplier and sub-contractor meetings in a conceptual capacity as required.
Liaising with building control and other nominated external services to ensure that all design work meets required obligations.
Utilising the Company's established design standards, document control processes and other documentation whilst having the ability to adapt standards if applicable to produce the most suitable and impactful documentation to ensure client satisfaction.
Successfully presenting and pitching work with a professional demeanour to clients (and others) always ensuring an accurate representation of the client's brief and requirements and that all client requests are met so that projects run seamlessly.
Supporting the internal teams, Heads of Department and the Group Executive Team to ensure that project work and all other output is delivered on time to a high standard and all objectives are met.

PERSON REQUIREMENTS:
A professional qualification in Interior Design or Architecture (desirable) however, the equivalent in proven skills or knowledge will be considered.
A proven track record with a minimum of 5-8 years in Conceptual Design in the Design & Build industry.
A broad knowledge and understanding of Building Regulations.
A good understanding of how commercial Design & Build and/or Construction businesses work as well as a good knowledge of how buildings and building services work and play the key roles in design.
An extensive track record of experience in CAT A and CAT B fit outs, successfully pitching to clients, winning work and working with them following a successful pitch.
A proven track record of success in a Design & Build / Construction Design role and a can-do approach to all aspects of this role and the undertaking of all elements there-of.
Excellent understanding of texture, textiles, materials and furniture; variations in cost-points with a commercial understanding of the project's price-point.
IT SKILLS:
We require the candidate to be highly competent in all the following:
Microsoft Office 365, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Revit, Adobe Suite
