Sous Chef, £35,000 – £36,000, large luxury Hotel group, Manchester

A competent Sous Chef is required for this busy 4 Star Hotel group located in Manchgester city centre. As Sous Chef your role will involve working closely with the Executive Chef, ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen/s on a daily basis, working in all areas of the business – Restaurant, room service, bar and conference and banqueting. JOB DESCRIPTION
Working with an experienced Head Chef, you will assist with menu development, stock taking, health and safety and the running of the kitchen in his absence. Working in a large brigade of skilled chefs, producing high quality dishes using various cooking styles and techniques. You will be responsible for maintaining consistency and standards throughout the kitchen, whilst training and developing the brigade. Working with only the freshest produce this would be a great opportunity to progress forward with your career.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Experience in large Hotels is ESSENTIAL. A background in volume banqueting kitchens is required plus a la carte restaurant work as this is a key part to the business. A proven track record, strong development, career driven with fresh ideas will express drive, success and passion for the position. Experience in a Sous Chef role is essential as this is a very hands on role.
