The Role:

LexisNexis Risk Solutions is seeking a passionate Researcher to lead the understanding of user and customer behaviours, needs and motivations for a key project enhancing market-leading products within our Financial Crime Screening Portfolio.

You will support the business in building out a reliable and robust source of evidence to aid product planning, generate and validate product ideas. You will have the opportunity to implement best practice from the start and develop a standard of research that can be emulated in future projects. You will play a key role in building research operations for the organization. You will mentor and guide other researchers and cross-functional teams in doing their own discovery.

Main Responsibilities:

Work in a cross-functional team supporting continuous discovery and undertaking wider market discovery to build the team's understanding of the customer base.
Collaboratively lead teams to analyse data, focusing on evidence and findings.
Identify the right problems to address, within multiple value streams, focused by user research, commercial viability and technical feasibility.
Lead constructive reviews of research regularly with team members.
Improve recruiting processes, grow participant panel and teach others.
Advocate user needs and inspire curiosity in cross functional teams, to ensure key needs are met.
Understand organisational strategy and how to support decision making with user insights.
Tackle meaty problems at an organisational level, and successfully orient peers towards solving these.
Becomes a trusted partner of senior stakeholders.
Collaborate with the wider RSG community of talent, learning from outside sources of expertise beyond your business.
Be a leading voice for research and best practice.

Essential Skills and Experience:

6+ years of experience in research or research and design role.
Excellent communication skills understanding the use of focus, tone and storytelling, with experience in
Communicating effectively to the team the significance of the outcomes of research analysis.
Engaging teams with clearly articulated user insights and building their empathy.
Experience in employing a wide range of user research methods, identifying appropriate research strategies for different situations.
Experience in recommending appropriate sample sizes suitable for the research method.
Expert in qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques extracting themes, evidence, findings, and insights.
Experience leading ideation, prioritization and analysis exercises or workshops with cross-functional teams.
Expert interviewer and facilitator with many interviews, co-creation workshops and focus group sessions with customers / users under your belt.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

Experience working with teams to examine how to improve key project metrics.
Experience working across multiple geographic markets.
Experience working in B2B software.
Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated environment.
Has proactively used data to establish key metrics for projects.
Understands PII and incentive compliance.
Can create use cases and connects these within the wider product ecosystem, anchored in research insights, and prioritizes via users.
Can apply ethics and regulations framework(s) to cross functionally identify risks to users.
