Catering Lecturer
TeacherActive are working with a Further Education College based in South Shields who are recruiting a Hospitality and Catering Lecturer to join their passionate team on Temporary on a 33.5 hours a week contract. Please note this role is to start ASAP and could turn permanent for the right candidate.

Role responsibilities:
To develop, prepare and deliver high quality education and training programmes and to provide other professional support to help the College meet its objectives.
Prepare and deliver course material to a range of programmes as directed by your line manager.
Carry out a range of lecturing and associated functions in connection with classroom teaching, tutorial work, assessment, residential courses, open and distance learning cases, and student placements as required.
Implement and take cognisance of all policies and procedures of the College and the Faculty.
Carry out tutorial duties and assist with the provision of an effective counselling service to students on academic, non-academic and welfare matters as required.
Person and Qualifications:
Previously taught Hospitality and Catering within a Further Education College.
PGCE (or Further Education Teaching Certificate).
IQA Assessing Qualification.
Literacy and Numeracy qualifications at a minimum of Level 2 (or equivalent) / willingness to work towards.
Evidence of developing and maintaining effective relationships – internal and external at all levels in a diverse environment.
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one prior to start date.
