Salary : £32000 – £35000/annum

My client is a leading specialist in designing and manufacturing pneumatic products. Over the years my client has developed specific technical ways to meet the demands of clients within sectors they work in, ensuring that they stay at the top of their industry. Having in house design engineers enables them to manufacture bespoke products whilst working closely with customer to provide a first-class service. Due to a period of extensive growth my client is now looking to add a Design and Development Engineer to their team.

£32,000 – £35,000 Depending on Experience.

25 days holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays

Workings Hours are Mon- Thurs 8.30am until 5pm and 8.30am until 1pm on Friday.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Produce and complete correct technical information for products – BOM’s, drawings, Technical Specifications and SOP’s.
Deliver improved design solutions on existing products.
Assist others to improve their knowledge when required.
Participate in Root Cause Analysis and Improvement Correction Action when needed.
Produce improved manufacturing and assembly process solutions.
Ensure all work produced is to a high standard and at a competitive price.
To apply you MUST have or hold:

3D CAD experience. SolidWorks experience is an advantage but not essential.
Working within a manufacturing environment.
A good understanding of the principles of Design For Manufacture.
A positive attitude and self-motivated.
Team player with strong communication skills.
A good eye for detail.
Degree in Engineering or Good levels of experience within engineering/mechanical environment or an apprenticeship within a mechanical environment.
Good mechanical engineering experience in Materials, Manufacturing techniques and Stress calculations.
The drive to continue to learn and better yourself.
