About the role
You will be working within the Grounds Maintenance team, responsible for the efficient and effective conduct of specific ground and pest control activities for a well-established Test and Evaluation company. You will be reporting to the Facilities Operations Lead and form part of a larger team of experienced personnel, who are responsible for ensuring that our Benbecular site is maintained.
The Hebrides Range is located at various sites on the islands of South Uist, Benbecula and St. Kilda and is operated by QinetiQ on behalf of the Ministry of Defence under the terms of the Long Term Partnering Agreement (LTPA) contract. The Missile Testing Range was built by the Royal Air Force between 1957 and 1958 to launch the Corporal Missile, Britain and America's first guided Nuclear Weapon. Today, the site consists of Deep Range for complex weapons trials & in-service firings and an Inner Range for ground-based air defence campaigns.
You will deliver a range of Grounds duties which include; The use of motorised grass cutting equipment, strimming & cutting grass, cutting hedges, clearing leaves, weeding, and general grounds maintenance.

Previous experience working within Grounds Maintenance and Pest Control
Full UK driving licence

What will I be doing?
Pest Control duties require taking control of all pest issues raised from planned maintenance dockets, audits, closing out actions, regularly checking pest actions.
To perform a variety of grounds upkeep & pest control tasks as detailed within the roles and procedures documents
To ensure all activities are carried out and signed-off in accordance with our quality assurance and Environmental health and safety policies
Responsible for ensuring that waste material is correctly disposed of in accordance with the client's environmental systems.
To participate in mandatory site training relating to health & safety, hygiene and environmental issues.
