Junior – Intermediate Architectural Technician / Technologist required to a multiple award winning Architectural Practice in York.
Required is a competent Architectural Technician / Architectural Technologist with a minimum of 2 years' experience to join a Architectural Practice based in York who have gained a national and international reputation for original, creative design and professionalism, they have worked on a wide range of projects, from small refurbishments to large-scale developments.
Our client are currently experiencing a sustained period of growth with multiple contract and design schemes being awarded across a number of varied sectors including Healthcare, Residential, Commercial, Retail, Leisure and Hospitality. Specifically the project team the successful candidate will be joining is to deliver a multimillion pounds new build Residential retirement village.
Responsibilities of the Architectural Technician / Architectural Technologist
Offering Technical support for Project Runners on live projects predominantly within the Residential sector to include care homes, One off developments & Multiple Housing units
Prepare drawings, calculations, schedules, specifications & information in line with general QA and best practice procedures
Co-ordinate design and production information with team members, external consultants, suppliers and contractors
Attend site, client + other meetings, where necessary
Assist on Feasibilities, as and when they arise
Identify networking / marketing leads both in the UK and internationally
Execute and take responsibility of project and administrative duties as directed by the project architect and / or the director, in the best interests of the company
Take full ownership of respective packages given
Improve and build on personal, interpersonal and team building skills.
Requirements of the Architectural Technician / Architectural Technologist
Working knowledge of REVIT or AutoCAD
Imaginative in design ideas and concepts
The ability to produce detailed drawing packages
Comfortable in designing and managing projects from inception to completion
Ideally degree qualified with at least 2 years professional experience,
Good understand of UK Building Regulations
