THE POSITION – SENIOR ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIAN
The role on offer is for a Senior Architectural Technician with at least 10 years of industry experience, to join a fast paced housebuilder environment on a permanent basis. The Senior Architectural Technician will ideally hold a wealth of experience in the Residential sector, with the added and important bonus of having worked in a housebuilder / developer environment previously.
Reporting to the Head of Techncial, the Senior Architectural Technician should be comfortable carrying out the following responsibilities:
Preparation of construction packages, details and specifications.
Working alongside external consultants and suppliers to complete a full tender package for the commercial, construction, sales and marketing team to work with
Liaise with the NHBC Building Control department.
Support the upkeep of the standard house type range, specifications and details as well as suggesting improvements for future packages and providing technical assistance to the team as required.
Attend site-based meetings as and when required.
Keep up to date with CDM and CPD responsibilities specific to the role.
Maintain up to date with legislation and regulations as well as have an understanding of future regulations that are coming into effect within the industry.
Assist the development and training of other more junior members of the Architectural side of the Technical department.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
A degree in Architectural Technology or a HNC/HND in a related field
At least 5-10 years of industry experience, ideally having been spent predominantly in a housebuilder environment.
If no housebuilder experience, a wealth of experience having worked in the Residential sector in a private Architectural practice would be accepted.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD
Excellent attention to detail, good admin skills, happy to work to deadlines and an effective communicator
