Essential Experience/Skills Required:

This job requires you to be working as a Kitchen Designer currently and in a trade capacity (dealing with builders and architects) and have experience of visiting sites, whether it be new builds or refurbs, and you must have a full UK Driving Licence.

About the Company:

Our client is the largest privately owned manufacturer of fitted kitchen, bedroom and bathroom furniture in the UK; the organisation has been in operation for over 50 years and is experiencing continued growth year on year.

They have, and continue to be successful in winning various tenders to supply fitted kitchens for the on-going refurbishment of Council owned properties, holding 50% of the market share there and for New Build Social Housing projects throughout the country. As well as this, they offer provision of the same services to major ‘private’ homebuilders such as: Taylor Wimpey, Redrow, Barretts & Galliford Try, where they have 1 in 3 kitchens in every new build property.

The Role:

Due to the continued demand our client is in need of additional support to assist the Sales and Installation Divisions in delivering this continued high level of service. You will be required you to visit various sites around your allocated geographical areas, working Monday to Friday between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm to specifically ensure that each site (Apartment Blocks) is ready for the installation of a fitted kitchen, supplied by our client. You will ensure excellent service to sensitive customers by establishing and maintaining clear lines of communication and you will play a key role in the company fulfilling its contractual obligations. This role would be suited to candidates who ideally live within a 20-25 mile radius of Manchester.

* Schedule plots for delivery via site plot schedules on the company’s extranet or by submitting call-off forms to the sales office, in line with customer programmes and lead-times

* Carry out the check measure of plots 3 weeks before delivery for standard product and 5 weeks before delivery for non-standard product (e.g. Paint to Order), reporting and documenting any findings directly to the customer

* Submit approved marked up revisions to the design office via an amendment form – The timing of these submissions should take into account the customers’ programme, as well as the design office lead-times for amendments to be processed.

* Carry out the readiness inspection of plots 2 weeks before delivery for standard product and 4 weeks before delivery for non-standard product, to ensure that when materials arrive on site they can be fitted without delay

* Carry out a week of delivery check on plots to ensure that they have progressed to a level which enables materials to be fitted, reporting all findings via IMS and circulating accordingly with photographic evidence where required.

* Rescheduling of delivery dates in the system, where necessary, and then confirming these movements with the customer via e-mail

* Maintain a site activity folder throughout the life of allocated projects – This involves carrying out various site audits and collating weekly reports with the responsibility of providing documentation in support of these tasks

* Work closely with Contracts Managers and fit teams to ensure that the delivery to completion of materials is kept to the shortest time scale possible.
