Salary: £20,000pa
Monday to Friday – 8am-5pm (1 hr lunch)
The purpose of the Junior Online Merchandiser is to ensure that the online merchandising is directed to a given market, identifying opportunities, and working closely with the marketing department to prioritise activities. The Junior Online Merchandiser will look at the customer journey, proposing improvements for an optimised experience. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and well established company.
The Candidate
· This Junior Online Merchandise role would suit someone with an interest in building websites, systems and shop sites
· A high level of competency in Excel is a must for this role and ideally photoshop
· Excellent communication skills with attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines
· Ability to work as part of a team or on their own
The Role
· Assisting with the building and maintaining of the company website
· Continuously merchandise the website to create an exciting customer experience
Responsible for the visual merchandising of products by working closely with the buying/merchandising teams to understand key merchandising strategies, opportunities, and recommendations for improvement
Maximise web store performance focusing on the following activities: Online customer experience, Online merchandising, Product content, features and benefits and cross/upsell opportunities
· Responsible for ensuring products are added onto shop sites correctly and with the full information
Display a hands-on mentality towards e-commerce colleagues
Build strong relationships with colleagues including product, merchandising, creative and marketing teams
Liaise regularly with Buying & Merchandising to ensure that company objectives are implemented
· Using Photoshop making/editing product images – Photoshop can be trained
· Responsible for uploading excel spreadsheets onto shop sites – data input
· General administrative duties as required
