JOB DESCRIPTION: Packaging Designer – protective packaging
We are expanding our busy design department hence we are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Packaging Designer to join our team.
The Packaging Designer role involves the design of specialised, custom protective packaging for high value products for the protection from climatic, handling and transport hazards.
You will be responsible for each project from initial enquiry, design and prototype to costing and quotation and the preparation of manufacturing drawings for production and supply. You will be reporting to the Design Manager and working with our customer's Engineering department.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Packaging Designer – Protective Packaging
· You will ideally have a good knowledge Solidworks and AutoCAD
· Any knowledge of 3D/CADCAM plotter would be of particular interest
· Proven track record Product Design or Engineering background
· Visual perception
· Project management and time management skills
· Used to working towards Deadlines
· Communication both written and oral
· Team player
