Salary : £40000 – £45000/annum
An Opportunity for a Senior interior designer has come about in the area of Worcestershire.
Their Studio creates outstanding Leisure and Hospitality venues across the UK and overseas.
Working as an integral part of the award-winning team you will develop exciting and creative projects including Bars, Casinos, Restaurants, Nightclubs, and other hard interior projects.
You will have experience in the sector, have excellent creative and technical skills, be a team player and be able to deal with projects from inception to completion, interface well with clients, and supervise projects on site.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Work independently, or with one of the Directors, attend client and design team briefings and gather all necessary information to establish the brief.
* Prepare plan proposals demonstrating a thorough understanding of the client's requirements.
* Prepare design ideas and concepts.
* Direct the creative development of CGI's, renders etc.
* Prepare statutory applications and ensure compliance with the applicable legislation.
* Work closely with other consultants to ensure the development of all associated design elements, cost control, co-ordination, flow of information, and programme.
* Assist in the production of, and direct the preparation of, all construction information including highly detailed plans and fully resolved joinery details.
* Obtain competitive tenders for contract works (with or without a QS).
* Specify and obtain quotations for FF&E and other non-contract elements, and ensure orders are placed as required.
* Supervise works on site.
* Resolve issues and changes as they occur, recognising the fast paced nature of the sector.
* Manage handover processes and Statutory sign off.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
* Minimum BA Hons (or equivalent) in Interior Design, Architecture, or similar.
* Held roles in the Leisure and Hospitality design sector at a high level.
* Broad design experience from project inception to handover.
* Creative and technical experience including space planning and joinery detailing.
* Good understanding of the applicable areas of the Building Regulations, Planning, and other technical standards.
* Confident and efficient interacting with clients, design team, contractors, and suppliers.
SKILLS
* Excellent CAD skills (Vectorworks preferred but not essential).
* Proficient in the use of InDesign, Photoshop, and Office.
* In tune with current design trends and new ideas and with a broad knowledge of design styles and design history.
* Understanding of practical issues affecting Leisure and Hospitality design – customer flow, speed of service, regulatory constraints etc.
* Outstanding attention to detail and proactive in addressing the challenges of scheme development.
* Strong project management skills.
* Able to take ownership of a project and drive its successful outcome.
* Work well under pressure and to deadlines, able to prioritise and manage own time.
* Positive, can-do attitude, self-motivated, problem solving, confidant and a team player.
* View design as more than just a job, passionate and dedicated to the profession.
* Driving license and access to a vehicle.
