A fantastic opportunity here for a Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join an award winning, multi-disciplinary practice in Birmingham city centre, within their young and vibrant team.
THE COMPANY:
A fantastic multi-disciplinary practice operating out of two offices in the UK, one of which in London, the other in Birmingham city centre. The company has been in operation well over 30 years, developing into a well resourced multi-disciplinary, offering services in; Architecture, Building Services, Surveying, Professional Services, Project Management, Sustainability and much more.
The Birmingham office is set in modern offices a stones throw away from Birmingham New Street station, ideal for rail commuters from outside the city. Off road parking is available nearby. There are plenty of cafes and express supermarkets within walking distance of the office, and a park nearby perfect to eat your lunch with the upcoming Summer (providing we get the weather!).
The company as a whole work in several sectors and project types, with the Birmingham office tending to focus on Education, Residential and Public Sector buildings. For this particular position, Education experience would be perfect but not necessarily essential. Given the nature of the work they do, they have had to invest heavily in implementing Revit and BIM systems throughout the office. Prior knowledge and proficiency in Revit would be ideal for this role although not necessarily essential.
THE POSITION – PART 2 ARCHITECTURAL ASSISTANT
The position available is for a Part 2 Architectural Assistant, either recently graduated or with experience, to join the Architectural team within this busy and vibrant multi-disciplinary practice. Joining a team of vastly experienced Architects and Architectural Technologists, you will be supported and provided with continued development opportunities while working on a range of interest and challenging projects in areas such as; Residential, Education and Commercial sectors.
The practice offer support through your Part 3 qualification and can provide the work necessary for you to complete your case study and so on. You will be assisting the Senior Architects within the team, gaining valuable experience in the industry on your way to becoming a fully qualified Architect yourself. You will be involved in projects throughout the entire RIBA cycle, which is often overlooked when in a Part 2 role.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Qualified Architect with UK recognised qualifications at Part 1 and 2 level.
Willingness and eagerness to learn.
Confident in client facing situations.
Happy to work autonomously and as part of a team.
AutoCAD proficiency is essential, Revit knowledge would be a benefit.
