Freelance Interior Designer Job in Worthing/Remote
New Freelance Interior Designer job with a workplace design and build firm. The role will see you involved in the early stages of projects from concept design through to design development. Candidates can be based remotely but will need to have a good understanding of UK Building Regulations and strong background in workplace design & build. The expected duration of the role is 6 months but may extend beyond this.
Our client has a strong background within commercial design, having managed the business for a number of years and now with a steady pipeline of new projects they're looking to add additional resource to the team to cover the upcoming workload. Candidates will need to be comfortable working independently and have access to their own equipment and software licences.
Role & Responsibilities
Concept design and space planning
Technical drawings including layouts, GA, and bespoke joinery
Liaise with clients and contractors
Assist with FF&E schemes and material selections.Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience in commercial design, ideally workplace design and build
Strong AutoCAD skills and access to your own AutoCAD Licence
Proficient in SketchUp and Adobe Suite
Strong communication skills
Ideally degree qualified in interior design or similar, not essential.What you get back
Day rate of up to £200
