Planning Consultant / Town Planner
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £30000 – £50000/annum
A thriving Planning & Architectural practice is looking to secure a Planning Consultant / Town Planner to join their growing team based in Gravesend.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to become an important part of a Planning & Architectural firm that are really flourishing and looking to build on previous successes through the continuous development of the business.
This planning-led practice deliver on projects that span across a wide range from major mixed-use developments to smaller residential and commercial schemes.
As the Planning Consultant / Town Planner you will be working alongside a growing team of Planners and Architects, however you will need to possess the ability to work on projects independently – liaising directly with clients.
Duties include:
Appraising development schemes against local and national policies
Preparing planning statements
Working with a case load of planning applications
Preparing and submitting appeals
Presenting schemes to planning committees and member briefings
Co-ordinating third-party consultants
Planning Consultant / Town Planner Requirements:
A degree in an RTPI accredited course
Previous experience within the planning sector
Good ability to deal with timescales and work under pressure
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Good knowledge of Policy
Confident in discussing projects with clients

The salary on offer is fully dependent upon experience and is likely to be in the region of £30-£50k.
