Senior Fine Art Technician
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £30000/annum
Our client, who specialise in Fine Art are currently seeking a Senior Fine Art Technician for their team based in Gloucestershire.
As the Senior Fine Art Technician, you will be supporting the studio and artists, dealing with installations for both private and in-house clients throughout the UK and overseas, and ensure everything is running efficiently.
You will be overseeing small groups of techs within the team, dealing with on-the-job training and developing new ways to evolve traditional tech working practices.
Other duties:
Working on exhibitions and projects at the planning stage through to install and deinstall (both UK and overseas)
Communicating with operations team throughout the day
General care and maintenance of artwork, fabrication, framing
Inspecting artworks to determine how, where, when, or if to touch them
General ad-hoc tasks
The successful Senior Fine Art Technician will be familiar with basic art terminology, can confidently drive a Luton sizes van, forklift truck and have an IPAF license.
Skills/requirements of the Senior Fine Art Technician:
Good IT knowledge – including MS Office, Photoshop. InDesign and Illustrator
Excellent communication skills
Clean and full driving license
Able to operate a wide range of machinery and tools confidently
You must be proactive and have a flexible approach to work, taking initiative, and thinking on your feet, problem solving
