Town Planner

A reputable, forward-thinking and progressive architectural and town planning consultancy seeks an experienced Town Planner to join their busy and growing office, to head up their Planning side of the business.
The office is based in Northampton, but the role can offer flexible/hybrid working with 2 days working from home available with the rest in office.
This award-winning team work primarily across the Midlands region to deliver projects within a variety of project types, predominantly in Residential and Commercial sectors. We require an experienced Town Planner who possesses the experience and drive to head up and develop the planning team alongside the Practice Partner.
Other general responsibilities of the role include:
Planning applications and appeals
Site appraisals and feasibility assessments
Development plan representations
Provide comprehensive and confident advice to clients and other professionals
General project management, including project team coordination
Mentoring and managing junior staff alongside the Planning Partner to build a strong team
Senior Planning Consultant Requirements:
5 years + private or public sector experience
Holding an RTPI accredited town planning qualification (2:1 or higher), or working towards such, together with good A Level (or equivalent) grades
Ideally holding an RTPI accredited Masters in Town Planning
Hold MRTPI status
Excellent written, analytical and interpersonal skills
Strong time keeping and organisational skills
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
