The Nature Discovery Centre in Thatcham is looking for a Café Assistant.
Café Assistant
Salary: £9.90 per hour (Real living wage) for age 18 and over. £9.18 per hour for 16-17 year olds.
Contract: Fixed term contract 1st December 2022 – 31st March 2023
Hours: 12 hours per week, to include regular weekends
Based: Nature Discovery Centre, Thatcham, RG19 3FU
This is a varied role within a friendly and busy environment and includes food preparation, serving customers, till handling and stock control.
Successful applicants will have good interpersonal and communication skills andbeing able to work well under pressure during busy periods is essential. This role will include working regular weekends, as per rota, and so requires someone who is flexible. Experience of working in a kitchen and café environment previously is desirable (but not essential).
The Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust is a membership-based voluntary organisation, managing over 80 nature reserves, influencing land management and educating and encouraging all sectors of the community to care for local wildlife.
