Astute are partnered with one of the most reputable sustainable energy businesses in the UK and a pioneer in their sector. The company develop, construct, own and operate their own renewable energy assets and we're looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to deliver innovative design solutions for electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
Roles & Responsibilities
As the Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Producing designs using AutoCAD and Modecsoft for electric vehicle charging and battery storage infrastructure
Assisting with identifying technical solutions in electric vehicle charging technology
Providing project designs, equipment specification and bill of materials (BOM)
Electrical calculations, cable size and earthing calculations
Liaising with Architects, Engineers, and attend project group and technical meetings
Providing technical support to commercial and development team
Assisting with monitoring system of the commissioned installations
Research new technologies
Preparing cable schedules, calculations reports, single line diagrams and arrangement for duct routes, and electrical equipment layouts as required
Other duties as required
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Must be experienced with AutoCAD, Amtech and Modecsoft is highly desirable
Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent
Working knowledge of CDM, H&S regulations, electrical standards, and design regulations
Experience working in similar technical design role within electrical infrastructure, or building services
Working knowledge of battery storage solutions (BESS) and Solar PV solutions
