SNS Recruitment is currently looking for a full-time senior chef for one of our clients based in Westminster.

Our client is launching a new restaurant within an entertainment theatre located in Westminster, Central London. The restaurant is expected to open within a few weeks.

The successful candidate will be expected to work with the restaurant owners, to ensure a successful restaurant launch. As the senior chef, you will be responsible for creating the kitchen’s menu in line with the concept & branding.

The concept for the launch is a mix of casual & high-end dining, where burgers will be at the heart of the opening menu. The client is also considering whether to adopt a changing menu, where the kitchen’s concept & menu change along with the entertainment shows in the theatre. As the senior chef, you will be responsible for coming up with creative menu ideas and implementing these ideas.

The right candidate will have experience in a similar role and will be responsible for all aspects of the kitchen as well as building a kitchen team from scratch for the restaurant.

As a senior chef, you would be expected to lead the kitchen and recruit another chef assistant and kitchen assistants/catering, assistants.

You will have the freedom to create a menu based on your expertise and strengths.

The restaurant does an average of 62 covers + bar space downstairs

Salary:

* Salary: range from £30,000 – £35,000

* Contract & Working hours: Full-Time 40+ hour contract a week

Requirements:

* Experience working in a similar role

Roles & responsibilities:

* Creating menu items, and recipes and developing dishes to ensure variety and quality

* Managing and working closely with other Chefs of all levels

* Controlling and directing the food preparation process

* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards

* Ensure the good quality of the food served

* Recommend changes and improvements in the kitchen operations

* Plan weekly menu

* Oversee kitchen inventory

* Review financial reports to forecast and allocate food costs

* Review monthly sales totals to forecast and allocate food costs

* Organise produce and stock
