This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing boutique asset manager based in the City. The business is continuing to evolve and we are looking for a Senior Operations Manager to join their centralised Ops team.

You’ll join a small, agile environment and support a multi-product business with responsibility for day-to-day Ops management, trade/settlements, regulatory reporting and wider project activity.

This is a highly autonomous role with the opportunity to shape/develop a young team, serving as the right hand to the COO.

Responsibilities:

* Line management of x2 junior operations staff.

* Oversight and management of trade booking, confirmation and settlements.

* Ensure the team complete all processing for client positions.

* Complete transfers in/out for clients from external brokers and custodians.

* Reconciliations – daily cash, stock position and inter-system recs are completed/resolved.

* Creating escalation reports to management on all breaks with relevant auditable commentary.

* Regulatory Reporting.

* Responsible for transaction reporting and run the relevant committee.

* Regular review and update of procedures completed to reflect changes in internal processes and market regulations.

* Regular liaison with the Front Office teams so team are aware of new business developments/requirements.

Operations stakeholder and representative for the following committees:

* CASS Committee

* Transaction Reporting Committee

* Systems projects meetings

* Risk Committee

What experience we're looking for:

* 5-7 years of commercial experience as a minimum.

* Background in wealth/asset management or the financial services industry.

* Strong background and knowledge in regulatory reporting and FCA regulations.

* Strong experience in trade reconciliations, trade settlements/execution – an understanding of the trade process, trade booking standards and lifecycles for products supported.

* Line management and experience in managing a team of resource.

* An effective communicator, hands-on and ability to oversee day-to-day Ops activities.

* Demonstrable experience using SWIFT and custodian portals.
