Salary : £450 – £500/day
Role: Lead Planner
Location: Predominantly working from home, ideally 1 day per week (Tuesday) in the Welwyn Garden City office
IR35: Inside
Rate: £500/day (Umbrella)
Duration: Until 31/3 initially – potential extension
Minimum Requirements:
You will be qualified to at least degree standard (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
Experience related to planning applications for example within a local authority
Proven project management skills
Leadership skills, including ability to train and coach others
An ability to work in a high workload, high pressure environment
Hertfordshire and North London faces many environmental challenges. The amount of growth planned in the area is one such challenge. The successful candidate will influence development to protect and enhance the environment. The aim is to secure the best environmental outcomes through this growth. The work is varied and diverse. My client seek to protect chalk stream rivers and groundwater, remediate contamination and steer development from flood risk areas.
As a member of the team your work will involve:
Managing major development projects
Influencing local planning policy
Stakeholder engagement, including internal teams, local planning authorities and developers
Leading on internal business improvement working groups
Training and coaching others in technical knowledge and personal skills
Supporting the Team Leader, using leadership and project management skills
