Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for your next role in the London borough of Hillingdon?
Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join this great Primary school in Hillingdon, London, to start in immediately for the full academic year. This is a full-time, long-term role paying between £80.00-£90.00 per day on PAYE. For the right candidate, it is likely the school will take you on a temp-perm basis.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be placed in a small classroom of no more than 10 pupils within primary group who have a diagnosis of Autism and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs. As a result, some pupils will display some behavioural needs, and some will be struggling with high levels of anxiety / depression. Generally, you will be providing support to students in small groups and working alongside the class teacher to help with student engagement, progress, and the management of individual behaviour. The curriculum provided is very broad to cater for individual needs and pupils' EHC (Educational Health Care) plans.
This Hillingdon primary school provides for vulnerable and challenging children and teenagers. It aims to achieve reintegration back into school, further education, or employment. For some, this might mean a short stay at the school, whilst for others it might mean a longer-term involvement throughout their secondary schooling. The curriculum provided is very broad to cater for individual needs and pupils' EHC (Educational Health Care) plans. Essential Requirements:
Experience supporting young people with special educational needs, specifically Autism (ASD/ASC)
Previous support work, TA or LSA work within a school or other related experience.
A caring and professional manner, willing to support with the personal care of pupils.
Must have legal right to work in the UK.
