Account Manager

Salary : £33000 – £35000/annum + benefits
The Account Manager acts as a consultant and key relationship manager between the internal Creative Studio and commissioning teams across the organisation, managing the planning and delivery of internally commissioned creative work.
This role would suit someone who is highly skilled at working on strategic and complex creative projects within a large organisation, and with a wide variety of stakeholders at all levels.
They will also work closely with The Studio’s internal Ops, Design, Production, Copy and Content teams, to plan creative work and resource, and ensure there is a joined-up approach across every project, driving best in class briefs that create award-winning work to achieve key communication and organisational outcomes.
All members of the Creative team are responsible for ensuring all creative, assets and content contribute to building an impactful, relevant and consistent brand experience across all channels and to all audiences and adhere to brand guidelines.
Key Accountabilities:
* Partner with commissioning teams to be the key point of contact for the planning and workflow of jobs into the creative team. Ensure commissioning team plans inform broader team forecasting plans and prioritisation
* Be responsible for creative process and drive a project from planning, to brief, to delivery, ensuring stages are delivered on time (and on budget if necessary) and communicate any variance or make any necessary adjustments to resource as projects progress
* Consult and advise on commissioning briefs to positively challenge existing thinking, whilst working with operations colleagues to spot opportunities for alignment to ensure efficient use of resource and creative assets
* Liaise with the creative operations team and utilise the trafficking system to agree and schedule appropriate creative team resource needed to deliver projects
* Facilitate feedback and amendments with creatives and commissioning teams supporting the process of giving clear and structured articulation of changes
* Be a guardian of the brand. Work with commissioning teams and creatives to ensure all creative work that leaves the creative team has passed a final point of quality assurance, is on brand, supports wider strategic objectives and is delivered to a high standard
* Liaise with print production suppliers (e.g. Paragon) and other production interfaces (e.g. digital and film) to ensure smooth transition of creative through production processes
* Be an essential partner in ensuring the best level of service is delivered for commissioning teams, identify and resolve operational difficulties whilst maintaining the delivery of brilliant creative outputs
* Be an active member of the new creative team, helping with the implementation of operational plans and strategies, participating in team meetings, owning your own L&D and role modelling professionalism to junior team members

Key Technical Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours:
* In-depth understanding of the creative production process including briefing designers, writers and video production teams. Knowledge of print, digital and video production processes
* Significant experience of project management including the ability to work efficiently on multiple projects of varying strategic importance whilst remaining calm and unflappable
* Relevant experience of account management or similar role acting as the relationship manager of a client or commissioning team with experience of using creative and traffic management systems and software
* Solid understanding of audiences, products, brands and messaging with experience of dealing with a wide variety of briefs understanding different audience needs and communications objectives
* Proven ability to assess work to inform decisions on prioritisation and resource allocation and communicate outcomes to key stakeholders appropriately
* Significant experience of developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, flexing style and behaviours whilst always confidently pushing for the best process and results
* Strong skills at identifying and resolving a range of technical or operational problems in a straightforward manner with minimal guidance
* Skilled at influencing and negotiating with people at different levels, resolving potential conflicts, working to build consensus, and providing teams with constructive feedback
* Motivated by high standards of customer service, required to work accurately and systematically with excellent attention to detail
* Demonstrates intimate knowledge and importance of working with brand guidelines and style guides and proven ability to objectively judge creative outputs, both visual and written
* Imaginative, full of ideas, and able to think laterally, thriving in a brainstorm environment
