Legal/Compliance Officer
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £27300 – £35000/annum
Prestigious educational establishment in Cambridgeshire seeks a Legal and Compliance Officer on a permanent basis.
Responsible to the Bursar, the successful Legal and Compliance Officer will manage a busy and varied workload, delivering operational legal advice and overseeing the school’s compliance with legislative requirements. This position will be solely based on-site.

Responsibilities
Delivering legal advice on aspects of school operations
Maintaining GDPR compliance and providing advice where required
Training staff on regulatory compliance
Attending networking events
Identifying potential compliance vulnerability
Developing corrective action plans
Producing and maintaining policies and procedures
Assisting the clerk to the governors
Liaising with other departments on compliance issues
The Candidate
Solicitors, legal executives and paralegals with a minimum of 2 years’ experience
Has successfully completed a law degree
Previous experience working within a law firm or educational establishment is desirable
Possesses excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Works well under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and maintaining high levels of accuracy
IT literate with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Has a keen eye for detail and strives for high standards in their work
Is pro-active, personable and professional
