CNC Milling Machine Shop Foreman

Salary : £21.45/hour
Our client is a long established engineering company.
The company manufacture medium to heavy engineered components for the Mining, Oil & Gas and Power Generation industries, and specialises in large capacity CNC machining of components up to 13m in length and 35 Tons in weight.
The company has extensive in-house facilities and employs a highly skilled workforce to cover flame-cutting, forging, fabrication, conventional machining, CNC machining & component testing.
The Position
The ideal candidate will be required to supervise the manufacture of components from engineering drawings, find the best method for producing parts in terms of quality and efficiency and assist in developing new working methods for new or existing products. You will ensure that work specifications and work instructions are adhered to, to meet the company's quality plan. The successful candidate will be responsible for a small highly skilled team of machinists. You will be self-motivated and able to work off your own initiative and communicate with other members of the team.
Previous manufacturing and tooling experience is essential. The ideal candidate must be time-served in Engineering/ machining and will be highly efficient and organized and able to implement and use a variety of machinery and equipment.
Skills Required
Experience in CNC Milling, CNC Turning, Centre Lathe Turning, Radial Arm Drilling and Marking out of Castings and Fabrications to ensure correct dimensions can be achieved.
Be able to ensure that components are available for Machinists and in front of their machines when required.
To communicate to the Late Shift Operators the work that is required during the shift and advise of any alternate jobs should problems arise.

Hours of Work
Monday to Thursday 06:45am – 3:15pm (some overtime usually required to ensure Late Shift are fully aware of what is required that day)
Friday 6:45am – 2:15pm
Rate of Pay.
£21.45 Per Hour.
