Graphic Design Officer – The Role:
The Council is seeking a Graphic Designer to join its Reprographics team to assist in the delivery of their graphic design, photography and print services to internal and external customers. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate for digital and print design, who thrives working on a variety of projects in an environment with competing demands and tight timescales.
Training will be given for the printing and finishing service, imposition and accessibility requirements.
Hours of work are 26 hours per week, ideally to be worked:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 9.15am to 4.30pm with 45min lunch break.
Graphic Design Officer – You:
If you are a proactive and professional team player, keen to learn and improve continuously and enjoy working with people providing support as well as commercial advice this might be the role for you.
– You will need to be an advanced user of the Adobe Creative suite, especially but not limited to InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, have a degree or equivalent work experience in graphic design
– You will also be required to create or contribute to visual concepts for various campaigns, develop layouts and production designs for advertisements, posters, brochures, leaflets, booklets, banners, business stationery, logos, corporate reports and other materials
– Confidence in photographing people at events for press releases, internal and commercial use is desirable, but training will be provided to the successful candidate
