My client has an exciting opportunity within their Design Team. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting and assisting the design team in general day to day duties, including filing, generating costings, dealing with suppliers and prepare samples for photoshoot.
Attention to detail and a desire to always provide the highest level of service whilst under pressure are key requirements for this role, along with accurate data entry skills and a creative mindset.

As a Design Assistant, you will be expected to support the Design team with:
Assisting the technical design team in general day to day duties, including filing, post and managing the storage of sample materials.
Provide technical support to the design team including generating costings and measuring items.
Communicating with suppliers and with other departments including purchasing, technical & RM teams, sample cutters and machinists.
Prepare and manage items and samples for photoshoot.
Provide administration support to the Design Team.
Should be well organised, able to manage priorities, and work to critical path deadlines.Putting together ad-hoc reports by using Excel and other internal systems.
The successful Design Assistant must be able to demonstrate the following:
Strong communication, organisational and administrative skills.
Creative, focused and able to learn technical specifications.
Ability to work as an individual whilst contributing to the overall success of the team.
Have an eye for detail and accurate data entry.
Positive, enthusiastic, and energetic attitude.
Good computer skills and efficiency MS Office – Outlook/ Word / Excel.
