Contract: Full time, permanent.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our National Development Centre (NDC) team based out of PM11, Carrington. Reporting to the National Development Centre (NDC) Manager, you will work closely with our NDC colleagues and assist in the delivery of packaging development and performance review projects for major customers. This very much supports the full supply chain end to end approach Saica adopts and embraces the 3 key elements of corrugated packaging development – Material performance / packaging construction & graphic design.
The role
Teamwork
• Support the UK&I Technical Manager with the laboratory testing required to meet both customer requirements and internal quality standards whilst ensuing all laboratory conditions and equipment are maintained. This will provide in depth product knowledge which will act as a sound basis for further development
Analytical thinking
• Relate and report numerical data in a format relative to the work request
Innovation/initiative
• Actively contribute ideas and suggestions when working with colleagues on packaging development projects and support the creation of presentation materials
Self-development
• Develop skills to be able to use ArtoisCAD and Graphic packages, maintain supplies for digital printing and stock material
• It is a pre requisite to be self-motivated and keen to learn
Candidate profile
• Academic – min 5 GSCE (C or above) including Maths and English PLUS a design based qualification at A level or equivalent level
• Graphic design awareness advantageous
• Ability to show self-development/continuous development
• Skills training will be available
