Our client is a leading provider of Solar PV and Electric Vehicle Charge points to new build housing projects throughout the UK.
They are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Commercial Solar PV Design Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for their clients. The role requires a combination of technical and project management skills, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities:
Design and engineer commercial solar PV systems, including conducting site visits, creating conceptual designs, and developing final designs for construction
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including building codes, electrical codes, and environmental regulations
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project completion
Perform technical analysis of system performance and identify areas for optimization
Provide support to sales teams during the pre-sales process, including reviewing technical specifications and providing guidance on system design and performance
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders in the solar industryRequirements:
Experience designing commercial solar PV systems
Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, and/or other specific Solar PV design software ( PV syst, PV Sol )
Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical design principles, as well as solar PV system components and technology
Familiarity with relevant codes and standards
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
