Head of Print

We are proud to be supporting a world leader in the higher education sector in their search for a Head of Print, where you’ll be a key member of the Creative Media leadership team proactively developing and implementing their print and distribution strategic goals to support future growth.
The role:
Head of Print is a busy role offering total variety covering financial, supplier sourcing and management, pricing, production, and leadership. Reporting to the Marketing Director you will have complete ownership of all Print and Distribution channels.
You will lead overall production planning and quality control, be responsible for overseeing all in house Print production, ensuring the team and work delivered meets the required standard. You will be the lead on embedding quality assurance principles across the team, ensuring all work meets appropriate quality standards and is to brief ensuring that all printed material adheres to brand guidelines.
You’ll also be liaising with a wide variety of stakeholders, which is a crucial part of the role. As is managing and leading a team, where you will be monitoring, reviewing and developing staff performance to ensure production and customer service are of the highest standard.
What we’re looking for:
We’re interested in applications from candidates who have significant experience of procuring and producing Print and Distribution in an agency or commercial environment, with extensive experience in delivering complex print campaigns and have superior technical large format/print knowledge.
Also, knowledge of leading-edge production and manufacturing capabilities, and experience managing and buying print services – particularly screen printing, digital printing (large and wide format) is vital.
In addition, you need to be solution orientated, decisive, someone who naturally builds excellent working relationships with clients, internal teams, and suppliers to deliver the highest level of customer service and quality. It goes without saying that you are well networked within the industry, and able to draw upon a wealth of extended experience and knowledge.
