Conrad Consulting are currently in partnership with an AJ100 practice, seeking a Senior Architect with at least 5 years of post qualification experience, to join their offices in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
The practice have become a prominent force in the architectural industry throughout the UK and internationally, with offices in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. Featuring consistently in the AJ100, the practice prides itself on developing and supporting Architects to realise their full potential.
Due to an increase in work load, the Shrewsbury office are now seeking an Architect with approximately 5 years of post qualification experience to join their talented and ambitious team. You will be presented with the opportunity to work on highly notable projects, predominantly in the Healthcare sector, along with Education, Residential, Commercial and more. You will also run projects of your own while leading a small team of Architectural Assistants/Technicians.
The practice have embraced the hybrid working model, currently employing a working week consisting of 3 days in the office and 2 working from home. Mondays and Thursdays are core office days, with the third day being your choice. If you would prefer to work in the office 5 days a week that is also absolutely fine.
Other responsibilities of the Senior Architect include:
Contract administration.
Calculate project costs, prepare fee schedules and financial management of projects.
Attend regular meetings with clients, contractors and any other external entities.
Prepare detailed design drawings from which costings are made, working drawings and schedules and specifications, using 2D, 3D Autodesk and 3D rendering packages.
Prepare tender bids, submissions and planning applications and presentations.
Skills, qualifications and experience required of the Senior Architect include the following:
Parts 1-3 qualified and currently ARB registered.
Chartered member of RIBA.
Approximately 5 years of post qualification experience, ideally within a private practice and preferably in the UK.
Experience of working on projects within the aforementioned sectors, with a particular focus on Healthcare and Education being beneficial.
Excellent organisation, planning and management skills in order to effectively lead projects.
In return, the successful Senior Architect will be offered a salary in the region of £38,000-£46,000 (dependant on experience), alongside a competitive benefits package.
