Art Consultant Responsible to: Head of Art and Company Directors.
You will be based in London on a part remote basis!
Art Consultant Salary: £41,000 – £45,000 dependent on experience
We are an art consultancy who specialise in procuring artwork for the marine industry and offer a complete consultancy package for our clients – from concept through to installation.
We are looking for a motivated Art Consultant, you will be an organised and creative individual to take an active role in a variety of fast paced existing projects, as well as being an important influence in the future development of the art consultancy.
As Mid-Level / Senior Art Consultant you will have a multifaceted and dynamic role that will include creative concept development, artwork and artist research, client relations, marketing assistance and budget management.
As an art consultancy we are a small close-knit team, but we work closely with the wider company of interior designers, graphic designers, directors and admin support on a daily basis.
The Art Consultant role will include a significant amount of travel visiting client offices, shipyards and artists. There will also be the opportunity to take part in overseas onsite installations.
Overall Purpose and Key Responsibilities of the Art Consultant
– Artwork concept development, including artwork research and narrative development.
– The commissioning of new artworks and the sourcing of existing pieces.
– Working closely alongside the Head of Art and Senior Art Consultant in all aspects of project management.pporting the Head of Art in project budget management. This includes issuing artwork quotes, organising invoices and tracking of payments.
– Organising artwork logistics, crating and insurance.
Art Consultant Skills
– Proficient in Adobe Suite including InDesign and Photoshop.
– Proficient in Microsoft Suite including Excel and Word.
– Ability to read and understand architect plans and elevations.
– Excellent communication skills and confidence when dealing with clients and artists.
– Hand sketching skills are preferable but not essential.
– Vectorwork skills are preferable but not essential.
