Our client in Zennor, near St Ives, are seeking a Senior Sous Chef to join their current kitchen Team.

Due to the remote coastal location own transport is required.

As Senior Sous chef you are responsible for many duties and responsibilities to support the Head chef, such as inventory, kitchen staff management, and food preparation.

Responsibilities & Duties include:
Ensure effective stock purchase, its receipt and storage
Ensure that required standards are adhered to in the production and preparation of food in quality, quantity, and safety
Work towards exceeding customer's expectation by encouraging and promoting high level of service
Give appropriate support or guidance to members of kitchen when need arises
Promote positive working environment
Ensure all dishes are prepared according to specification and served at the correct quality, portion size, and temperature
Partly responsible for the preparation of kitchen cleaning rosters and the supervision of cleaning schedules
Ensure that the kitchen staff work harmoniously to ensure timely production of quality foods
Manage food logs and all aspects of Food Safety & Kitchen Health & Safety

This is a full time permanent position offering an annual salary of £35,500 plus tips approx £6k per annum
