Responsibilities:
1.Culinary Delights: Use your creative talents to prepare and serve delectable and nutritious meals that cater to the specific dietary needs of our cherished residents. Your ability to infuse flavour into each dish will bring smiles and satisfaction to their faces.
2.Menu Mastery: Collaborate with our caring team to design and plan menus that are both appealing and nutritious. Incorporate seasonal ingredients and adapt recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions, ensuring that every meal is a delightful experience for our residents.
3.Food Preparation: Show your culinary expertise by carefully selecting ingredients, skilfully preparing them, and applying appropriate cooking techniques. Attention to detail and adherence to food safety guidelines are essential in maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene.
4.Kitchen Coordination: Maintain a well-organized and efficient kitchen, overseeing inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering of supplies. Your organizational skills will help ensure the smooth operation of our culinary endeavours.
5.Team Synergy: Foster a supportive and collaborative atmosphere among the kitchen staff, working together to provide nourishment and comfort to our residents. Effective communication and teamwork will be key in maintaining a positive work environment.
6.Resident Engagement: Connect with our residents on a personal level, listening to their preferences and incorporating their input into the menu planning process. Your interactions and ability to accommodate individual needs will enhance their dining experience.
Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Chef/Cook, preferably in a care home or similar setting.
• Demonstrable culinary skills and a passion for creating delicious and nutritious meals.
• Knowledge of dietary requirements and ability to adapt recipes accordingly.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Effective communication skills and a compassionate approach.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
