Grounds Maintenance Operative
Our client is currently looking for a ground maintenance operative to join their team. You will use the full range of grounds maintenance equipment, including the latest battery powered equipment, and training will be provided on any equipment you may not have used before through the company
Scheme.
You will be required to carry out the full range of horticultural and maintenance tasks required within the contract including, but not
exclusively:
Herbaceous borders, shrub and flower borders.
Grass Cutting
Shrub and Hedge Pruning
Sweeping, Litter Picking, Leaf collection
Application of pesticides (PA1 PA6 training available)
Assist in soft/hard landscape work.
Pay rate:
£10.75 per hour – £11.75 per hour DOE
Shift pattern:
7:15am– 17:00pm (summer months) and 07:45am – 16:30pm (winter months)
The role requires:
Working knowledge of the above ground’s maintenance tasks
The ability to drive and operate a range of plant and machinery
A good working knowledge of Health and Safety
A positive and proactive attitude to customer service
A flexible and reliable approach to the working day
Strong teamwork skills
Essential:
Full current driving license
Desirable:
PA1 & PA6 Spraying certificate
Experience of working within a ground’s maintenance contract would be an advantage.
Able to carry and operate some reasonably heavy hand-held machinery and operate ride on mowers.
Having a methodical approach to work, being a Team player who supports colleagues.
