Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Chef De Partie Chef to assist in the direction of the operation of the kitchen on behalf of our well-established client based in Telford.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day kitchen activities as well as planning their own section work schedules.

Duties include but not limited to:

Help to ensure staff are motivated to deliver consistently high levels of guest service.
To maintain attention to detail in your department and throughout your workplace.
delivery, assisting and resolving customer queries and complaints where possible.
To check mis en place is ready and to the required standard for service, using checklists and section books.
To ensure you are always working to recipe specifications.
Daily to check with the function sheets and liaise with senior chef to the duties needed to be carried out that day.
To assist with writing menus in conjunction with senior chefs and planning and implementing ideas for all menus.
To ensure quality of food by checking consistency of food that is delivered.
Gain customer feedback to improve food and presentation quality.
To act as a role model to junior chefs and members of staff in all departments.
To report any HR issues to senior chefs
To attend all statutory training, departments and company training as and when requested and ensure yours and the team’s intranet training is up to date and all relevant modules completed.
To assist head chef in implementing and carrying out departmental training needs
To always support colleagues to ensure teamwork and discipline is maintained.
To ensure all HR policies and processes are followed.
Ideal Candidate:

NVQ Level 2 Professional Cookery
2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
Experience running all sections in a kitchen.
HACCP/Food safety knowledge
Familiar with Standard Operating Practise manuals
Small banquet experience Ordering and stock management experience.
At least 18 months experience at Demi CDP or CDP level
Hotel kitchen experience (desirable)
Up to date Food Hygiene qualification
Positive attitude

Excellent problem-solving skills.
Desire to progress.

Experience with baking and pastry
Hotel kitchen background
Confident with stock control and FIFO
Fine dining experience
Sous Vide cooking
Plated Banqueting
Purchasing and Storage

Knowledge of GP/COGS

Salary: Up to £25,604.80 per annum Dependant on Experience.

Hours: 40 hours Per week flexible throughout the week| No split shifts.

Location: Telford | Multisite role between 2 sites within the Telford area.
