Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary : £30000 – £35000/annum
My clients are a bespoke manufacturer of engineering solutions along with a leading supplier of hydraulic, pneumatic and electric equipment into various sectors within these industries
Due to growth and the rapid increase of product demand my client is now looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their already busy design team. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be tasked with working with a Lead Design Engineer on all phases of specific projects and produce manufacturing drawings. The projects involved will include standard modifications, special accessories for products and complete bespoke new designs based on client’s needs.

Location: Rotherham
£30,000 – £35,000 DOE, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, Monday to Friday (8.30am – 5pm)
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Making corrections to drawings as requested.
Create 3D models for design approval.
Ensuring the compliance of drafting and engineering standards are followed.
Updating the required internal database including BOMs, Manufacturing drawings and operating materials.
Work with various teams and clients to gain an understanding of project requirements.
Work closely with clients to overcome technical challenges.
Develop practical mechanical designs.
To apply you MUST have or hold:
Strong mechanical experience.
Have extensive knowledge of 2D and 3D AutoDesk Inventor or Solidworks.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Knowledge of CNC machining, welding and fabrications practices is beneficial.
Strong organisation skills with the ability to work multiple projects.
Good problem-solving skills.
The ability to work to a high standard over a consistently high standard.
Able to meet tight deadlines.
Good creative approach to generate new ideas.
Experience with prioritising workload.
