Butcher/ Butchery Manager

Hours: 8.30am – 5.30pm
Days: 5 days per week (including Saturdays)

Duties:
Working as part of a small team,
Efficient preparation of orders ensuring quality standards, minimising waste and maximising profit.
Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.
Adherence to HACCP and health and safety, maintaining records.
Liaison with customers, processing orders, organising deliveries or collections.
In addition the role of Butchery Manager would include:
Responsibility for one member of staff.
Ordering and managing stock, inspecting incoming goods.
Product creation and development, costing and pricing.
Providing product advice and upselling.
Experience:
Must have previous butchery experience, including the ability to break down Pigs, Lambs and Cattle, in addition to making sausages, with competent knife skills and good knowledge of HACCP.
Must have good customer service skills and work well on own initiative as well a part of a team, within a busy environment.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and excellent presentation with the ability to introduce new ideas, in addition to the ability to drive sales, however career development and coaching will be provided for the right candidate.
Salary: £25 – 30,000 per annum dependent upon experience
