Our client is one of the leaders in the development of off highway diesel and hydrogen engines which takes place in a number of world class diesel engine development test cell. The main focus for this position is to ensure that these test cells, equipment and instrumentation, meets the stringent requirements of the regulatory bodies and all documents created are well maintained.
Latest engine emissions limits are very low. With tighter emissions regulations and improved engine performance, there is a secondary requirement to ensure the facility and processes are in place to allow suitably accurate and repeatable measurement.
This role will lead the ongoing improvements in process and record keeping supporting measurement of ultra-low emissions and comply with the regulatory bodies’ requirements.
In your first few weeks in this Facilities Compliance Engineer role, you can expect to:
Ensure all processes required to meet the higher levels required by the regulatory bodies are fulfilled.
Ensure all servicing and calibration of equipment and instrumentation is done to the required standards.
Ensure documentation is created and maintained for the above.
Ensure any new equipment and instruments meet the above with any documentation updated.
Conduct internal audits.
To apply for this Facilities Compliance Engineer role, you will need a good understanding of ISO 17025 and ideally you will have come from an engine testing environment. You will also require the following:
Experience managing the calibration, documentation and processes, for all facility equipment and instrumentation to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies.
In conjunction with the homologations team you will prepare for and host any audits from regulatory bodies.
Internal auditing experience considered an advantage.
