Now under new stewardship, The Plough Inn aims to become a cherished venue for locals and visitors alike: Stretton on Fosse is a beautiful North Cotswolds village close to a number of holiday lets and Air BnBs, and it is expected that tourists will provide a significant part of the customer base.
The Plough Inn currently offers a week day menu of traditional pub favourites and a Sunday Lunch menu. We would like to follow this basic framework and develop it with a creative chef who can help us build a reputation based on an excellent kitchen.
You will be responsible for:
* Managing the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food hygiene and adherence to health and safety regulations.
* Crafting, implementing, and maintaining a menu that balances traditional pub favourites with your unique, innovative culinary flair.
* Leading, training, and nurturing a motivated kitchen team.
* Overseeing inventory, food supplies, and ensuring cost-effectiveness and consistency in meal preparation.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar culinary role.
* Creative, able to develop new and innovative dishes that will elevate our menu.
* Familiarity with the culinary landscape.
