Accountant Bookkeeper
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £24000/annum
We are looking for an enthusiastic experienced bookkeeper to join the growing team for an Accountancy practice in Chester.
Reporting to senior staff you will be responsible for bookkeeping in accordance with company procedures, meeting all necessary deadlines.
Duties will include:
purchase ledger
sales ledger
data entry
scanning
reconciliation of supplier statements
bank reconciliation
preparation of VAT return
management reporting
entering journals (year-end/wages)
complete bookkeeping to Trial Balance ready for accounts production
contacting HMRC
contacting clients & to include occasional visits to client premises to work or collect records
Dealing with client queries
any ad hoc jobs that may arise
Accounts experience desirable and the ability to work within a small team and on own essential.
Knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, HubDoc and other clouds based software

Salary £24,000 negotiable on dependant experience
AAT l3/4 or qualified by experience
2 years practice experience
20 days holiday plus bank holidays increasing to 25 after service
