Accounts Assistant
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £25000 – £28000/annum
Are you an Accounts Assistant with 1-2 years experience in finance, or an accounting graduate with a placement year in Industry? Nick Buick Associates is working with a company based in Chelmsford, who are seeking a bright and ambitious candidate who is looking a build a career in accounting, and ultimately become fully qualified in ACCA or CIMA.
This growing Essex business is seeking to hire an additional member in the finance team to support the continued growth of the company.
The first year in this role will include:
* Assisting the Financial Controller with the month end accounting process (journals, balance sheet reconciliations, management accounts)
* Managing the inter-company accounting
* Maintenance of the Company’s Fixed Asset Register
* Weekly reconciliation of the company bank accounts, and related cash flow reporting
* Assist with the submission of the Company’s VAT return
As you grow and develop, your responsibilities will widen, and you will get exposure to a broad range of tasks, to complement your continued studies
Ideal Profile:
* AAT studier or accounting graduate with 2.1 degree or higher
* Strong academics
* Excellent attention to detail
* Driven and ambitious
It would be very helpful if you are familiar with accounting systems, plus have a good understanding of MS Excel and basic use of formulas / pivot tables
