Salary : £19000 – £20000/annum 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
A leading law firm in Newcastle is seeking to appoint an Administrator to support their Creditor Services, Debt and Insolvency teams.
They are looking for a proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with the ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team. The successful candidate will work as part of an established administration team providing support to our busy Creditor Services, Debt Recovery and Insolvency functions. Proficient IT knowledge (including MS Office, Excel and Outlook) along with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines is essential. Experience of working within a legal or professional services environment and handling a litigated caseload is desirable but not essential.
The roles involve file and case management administration, administering payments, invoicing and monitoring payment plans, preparation of bundles and key court documents along with arranging meetings and client events. The successful candidate will also be responsible for obtaining client ID and assisting in the preparation of Letters of Engagement, and other general administration duties to support the fee earners and contribute to the overall success of the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* File and case management administration including file opening, closures, and archiving;
* Scanning and uploading new instructions onto the client portal;
* Processing of proxies, post receipt and delivery and proofs;
* Administering payments;
* Accounts and invoicing administration;
* Arranging meetings and client events;
* Regular telephone and email contact with external clients and other insolvency practitioners;
* Scanning and copying bundles and key court documents;
* Obtaining client ID and assisting in the preparation of Letters of Engagement;
* Monitoring instalment plans;
* Bulk letter printing;
* Monthly matter balance reports;
* Other general ad hoc administrative duties, including filing, photocopying, scanning and post duties.
KEY ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS
* Experienced administrator;
* Efficient and capable of working to deadlines;
* Self-motivated and able to use initiative;
* Excellent organisational and time management skills;
* Attention to detail;
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills – confident with both written and telephone contact;
* Proficient in Microsoft office and other IT packages;
* Experience of handling a litigated caseload (desirable but not essential).
