Salary : £26000 – £30000/annum

This thriving ERP software company based between Southampton and Winchester, is looking for a super star Application Support Consultant who has worked with ERP software, or similar commercial business management software. So that could be supply chain, or MRP software, accounting solutions, legal accounts software, dealer management, construction software, housing software, eCommerce, retail solutions or similar.

Prospects are excellent with full cross training to their fully integrated ERP package. Their ERP solution has loads of functionality; it is very flexible, easy to upgrade and covers things like order processing, business intelligence, CRM, accounts, purchasing, manufacturing, HR, warehouse management, inventory, e-commerce, and so on. They have offices in four countries and are constantly developing the product.

They would like someone who is keen to learn and progress as there is real potential to move on from application support into consulting, software implementation, software development, web development or project management, once you've learnt the product and done some time in the support team.

Who you are:

You have experience supporting application software, either ERP solutions, or similar business application software
General IT support knowledge, any SQL skills would be a bonus as would Crystal Reports, software development skills or other technical or networking skills
A keen interest in technology as well as business processes
Eager to learn the latest integrated ERP application
Proactive, enthusiastic, analytical, a good problem solver
Passion for providing the best customer service to your clients
Able to commute to the Southampton / Winchester area
Good communication skills, and patient and tactful when your clients are in a panicAlong with your support team colleagues, you will respond to client enquiries regarding problems with their ERP package, taking ownership of each case, working through each one logically and thoroughly, troubleshooting and fixing bugs, using SQL to interrogate problems, and advising the developers where required. There will be a lot for you to learn and get your teeth into, and you will be fully encouraged to develop yourself and move on into other areas outside of support. Plus, The Support Manager is awesome!

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn ERP and SQL in depth, and to progress rapidly into other areas of software consulting.
