​Our client is the leading supplier of milk recording services in the UK, providing management information on individual cow's performance in terms of milk quality, yield and fertility. It is acknowledged by the industry that they are the market leader in the provision and support of dairy software in Great Britain. They also supply aggregate data to over 35 dairy industry bodies including milk buyers, AHDB Dairy and breed societies as well as forming the basis for food provenance schemes for retailers such as Tesco, Sainsbury and Marks and Spencer. The farmer is the customer and our recording services reach the cows which produce 60% of the UK's milk.

Salary: £29,858.37 per annum

The Role:

To be responsible for area Cheshire/Staffordshire – M6 corridor:

Territory Management

*

Management of staff and resources to provide recording and health testing services to our customers.

Recruitment & Training

Area Co-ordinator (Where applicable)

Existing Customers

Building and maintaining customer relationship

*

To develop sales of additional services & testing

*

Account management

Self-employed Milk Recorder / Sampler service providers

Acquisition

Adherence to Service Level Agreements

This role will be salaried and will be home based. Your weekly hours will be flexible to allow early morning starts and milking patterns of customers. This will cover from Monday to Friday, to fit the needs of the business totalling your contractual 37 hours per week.

Essential Key Skills & Requirements:

A graduate, HND or equivalent in agriculture or relevant commercial experience

Ability to manage a team and ensure motivation and engagement

Farming experience and knowledge of the dairy industry

Time management skills

Effective communication skills

Ability to work flexible hours

Self-motivated with a positive, enthusiastic attitude

Full current driving license

Ability to work effectively within a team and add value

Strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy in work produced

Fully PC literate

To be located within the area

Preferred Skills & Requirements:

On Farm software experience

Milk Recording / sampling experience

Problem solving skills

Sales experience

Account management

Key Responsibilities:

To be responsible for the delivery of service to defined performance standards for your allocated herds

To on board new customers and ensure the retention of customers

To effectively manage the self-employed milk recorders and samplers on a day to day basis in line with Service Level Agreements

To undertake acquisition and training of self-employed Individuals

To recruit, manage and support the employed Area Coordinator on a day to day basis (Where applicable)

Managing customers’ subscription / accounts e.g.

*

Correct service provided Vs Invoicing

*

Requesting of credits

*

Overdue debt

Sales of additional services & testing

Achieving revenue levels in accordance with budgets set

Territory performance reporting and analysis of results with an appropriate action plan

Lead generation

Handling and resolution of customer complaints

Health & Safety compliance

Co-ordinate Herd Competitions (Where applicable)

Promote the company and assist at local and national events e.g. shows and farm walks

Milk Recorder / Sampler monthly payments

To maintain effective knowledge of company products and services including the wider industry

To work closely with the team to ensure high quality service and continued business development

To participate in additional projects as and when required

To maintain accurate and timely records on the Customer Relations System

Driving will be a significant aspect of your role
